While out of town last weekend, Adison screamed bloody murder after sliding down a slide in my lap. From that point on, her right foot has not touched the ground until being put in a cast. We went to the ER out of town for X-rays, saw our pediatrician, and saw an orthopedic specialist all in five days. None of these doctors have been able to determine the true reason why Adison will not bear weight on her leg. They have put it in a cast for three weeks and feel pretty certain X-rays in three weeks will show new bone growth indicating there was a fracture. The orthopedic specialist at Children's Hospital says he sees this type of thing a lot. I still am thinking more and more each day Adison may be an only child. After having the flu twice (and yes, we got the flu shot), double ear infections, ulcers down the throat and mouth, and a broken leg, how many sick days do I have left?
